Yo yo yo 
I like boat shots I do! Now, I like the composition (although I think I may have gone for more of an angle from *slightly* further away. Also, I reckon if you had been able to add some (more?) ND grads to the sky it could have helped introduce some mood to the shot. At the moment it all feels flat due to the lack of nice light. I sometimes find if light is crap, by pushing the shadows and for a gloom and dark look and feel, it can be quite effective.
This shot would look AWESOME with an extremely low sun in the right position.

this looks like really great place for taking pics. would be stunning with a bit more lighting interest.
