Does anybody have a Red Snapper 284 ?

I am looking to upgrade my current cheapo tripod to one of these - a major factor is how low it will go with the optional short central column (my current tripod goes nowhere near low enough causing me composition issues).

Can anybody help please ?

I have an aluminium 283. It's similar to a 284 but with 3 section legs instead of 4 section ones. It's a heavy beast but feels sturdy because of this. It also comes with a very good padded bag with a wide, elasticated strap. I've no regrets about buying mine. I think it was good value. My only mistake was ordering a ball head with it. I later changed it for a 3 way head which suits me much better.

I have the carbon tripod. It comes with an additional short centre section so you can get the tripod flat on the ground if you want.
