Im going to Tenerife soon and was wondering if camera equipment can be bought cheap over there? I remember years ago getting a camcorder over there at a good price and was wondering if the same has to be said for lenses etc??

It's a tax free Island. There are many shops selling photographic gear. But be very careful
there are plenty of scam artists there.

Just remember if you do get anything there you won't have a warantee - well not unless you go back when something goes wrong!

I lived over there for a few months a few years back, personally I wouldn't purchase anything of any value over there. Lots of genuine looking stuff gets shipped over from Africa that isn't so genuine.

Yep as above really, im flying out next friday, been going for some yeras now and some shops are know to pulling tricks
