Does anyone use folding light stands?

Those look a bit short, 2m isn't very high. I use the calumet £35 flash stands, can't remember the specs but they are light, stable, and fold down reasonably small. I get 2 of them plus a pair of brollies and a monopod into a manfrotto tripod bag.
 
Ahh yes, calumet. I forgot about them, surpring really since I have used them enough times! I shall take a look.
 
I know Colin [hacker] uses the manfrotto version, they are light and easily transportable and as far as I know, trouble free. Though personally I prefer my slighty heftier lencarta cushioned studio stands, having been that idiot that stepped whilst shooting and stood on the leg of lighter weight stand and bent it irrevocably :bonk: :lol: I figure if I can do it, a drunken guest can do it much more easily. ;)
 
They are what I am currently using. I may just stick with them and stop being a big girl.
The height came in handy the other week when I had to sit one in a 1.5m deep lake! :lol:

They haven't had much use from me so I can't attest to durability under stress, but they seem to do the job I need them for well enough. I think David Hobby uses similar - probably Manfrotto Nanos.

For outdoor use on a lawn a few metal tent pegs will hold them down in a breeze without having to lug great big sandbags around everywhere you go.

Good tip Tim :) One of those GOBO moments - glimpse-of-bleedin-obvious.

The lie-flat leg design is good to help stop you (and everyone else) tripping over them, but not thought of how handy it also is for nailing down with pegs outdoors. 2m is plenty high enough :thumbs:
