anyone know a site that has a dof calculater
i have seen one on a friends phone but want to see one for the pc
 
Just remember DoF is only apparent when you print the image out and it depends on size of print and distance you are viewing it from (as well as your visual acuity) as well as aperture, focal length and sensor size. The numbers from all the DoF calculators only work for one set of assumptions.

Apart from PhotoPills for iOS. The 'Advanced' mode lets you input print size and viewing distance in addition to the normal parameters.

It also does several other extremely cool photography-related things (indeed, the DoF calculator - despite being one of the best out there - is relegated to 'Other Stuff' in the UI). Really, everybody with an iThing who is interested in photography needs to check this out. People without an iThing should cry in a corner until the Android version is finished. Or go out and buy an iThing just to run this one app!
