Why didn't you simply take the shot with a larger aperture...? You'd then have a much better effect. The pp in this doesn't work at all, sorry.

The DOF PP isn't great, it's far too obvious.

Which lens did you use for the original shot?

agreed , an F stop or 3 too harsh , if the whole of the front circle was sharp then i reckon it would have been good
