I posted recently enquiring about potential new bags. Thread resulted in me grabbing a used Domke F2 from a certain well known auction site.

Domke came this morning and i'm very happy with it, strong, quality feel, plenty of room and not screaming "i'm full of camera gear, club my carrier and steal me".

1. This is the crumpler full of gear:

2. This is all the stuff laid out:

I've got alot more room in the Domke, equipment is spread nicely and not in danger of damage. The four part divider that comes with it is nicely padded and secured in the desired position in the main area with velcro on the edges. There is room for me to get a couple more lenses and still be comfortable. Theres a big zipped pocket in the lid, two coke can sized pockets on the ends and two tall thin pockets on the front under where the lid fastens. On the back theres a full sized pouch.

Pics link to flickr, with notes, I draw attention to the "Talk photography special welding glass" :D

nice one
i fancy a crumpler of some sort

Nice mini review. I've got the crumpler muffin top 5500, and need to get something a little bigger. Will check the Domke out.

what can you hold in that?

Is the strap on the Domke long enough to wear slung across the shoulders, messenger style, like the crumpler?

I've got the Crumpler 7500 myself and while it has it's place it is just a little small.

The strap that came with mine is really long, it hangs down almost to the back of my knees when fully out. It is resized with two of those plastic things that loops the strap back on its self (do they have a name?) and I found them really stiff to move as the starp has like a non slip rubber sewn through it.

I have it on to the shortest it will go (where both the plastic things meet together) and it sits just above my arse. I'm about 5'10".

It took me a while to get comfortable as the plastic things dug in, had to keep adjusting to find a spot where they were not on anything boney.

If I kept my Muffin Top I would have been tempted to use the padded shoulder bit on the Domke.
