So recently the Jet ski association have taken a liking to visiting Doncaster Lakeside for a round in their championship (the lake if finally getting used for something!). This is great news for me as it gives me chance to shot something new and different, it's also a massive plus that I live just round the corner :) Here are a few shots form my visit at the weekend.

An excellent set of images there the last two are superb. Am just down the road nr Leeds and would have loved to have gone, just didn't hear about the event.
 
Nice photos, quite different to what I'm used to see in here (y)

#1, #2 and #4 are my favorites, I would have cropped out the spectators on #3 or alternatively shoot it a bit wider to include all of their bodies
 
That's a great set Paul, I too live in Doncaster and new nothing of this. Not very well advertised me thinks.:thumbsdown:

Number one is great - it looks sharp, you've got the subject in a good place and the spray makes it visually striking.
 
Love number 2 it's the type of shot I wanted but never got the chance, too busy enjoying the picnic from the Asda...well cider with ice in plastic cups.
 
Thanks for the feedback people, I've got a few more to come later. I have had a quick look on the web to try and find out when they are back but no luck. It really isn't well advertised at all. The only reason I know when it's on is when I can hear it, as I live very close to the lake. It is a great event to go and see though, if you happen to to find out when it's on...
 
Nice set, I didn't hear about it till my son mentioned it as I was arranging a per wedding shoot there Sunday night.

I wasn't free the previous weekend but I am then so might just have to pop down.
 
Thanks for the info iwols, going to make sure I do t miss the free style this time! Now that a few more people know there may be a few more photos on this forum lol :)
 
I used a 150-500, but i was a bit lazy and didn't really commit to moving into nice close positions. 200-300 would have done really. I wish I had a faster lens for a bit less DOF in a couple of my shots.
