In summary, because it's darn annoying to just post a random link & click-bait comment:
A company posts a toggers image to instagram, togger asks co for payment, co declines and gives a bunch of reasons why they think they shouldn't pay, togger still requires payment even though they removed the image since they got their marketing benefit, co suggests togger is trying to extort money & won't pay. Nobody wins.
The guy is right, 100% right, but 99.9% of the world don't see copyright that way. The real point is, if you put your images on the internet where anyone can see them, then they may get used and abused. You can get all upset and indignant about it, but it's like trying to push water uphill and you'll only send yourself to an early grave.
The world has changed. IMHO moral of the story is - get paid for the job of actually taking photographs. Anything else is bunce.
