Yes
....is that an old wives tale...?

I know not to mix alkaline and rechargeable but

just bought a battery grip here for my D40 and the separate "carrier" holds 6-AA

i have....4 - Fameart Ni-MH 2700mAh from 7DayShop
..... and 2 - UniRoss Ni-MH 2500mAh

can I use them mixed together ?

BASIC ....but wondered.....

I just use whatever AA's I have when I need AA's.

I have two genuine Canon & two third party ones so I tend to mix and match the real 'camera' batteries in the grip too.

Never had a problem (touch wood) so far...

They should be fine...just that the UniRoss Ni-MH 2500mAh will run out of power first..due to there lower amperage

Don't mix batteries or your camera will explode and kill you and everyone around you in a rain of fiery death and jagged hunks of glass and plastic...
And how silly will you look then?

It's true...

Don`t forget the burning phosphorous that will disgorge itself...........:)

Hi John,

No don't mix them. What will happen is the more powerful battery will try to charge the less powerful one. This will generate heat and in turn the battery could leak. Not worth the risk, just buy a few more.

Regards

Chris
