You go out with your camera somewhere, and you see all these shots in your head, and your equipment holds you back?

Like today, all i have is focal lengths from 24mm-200mm, nothing wider, and today was a day where i needed a wide angle lens! All the shots i ended up taking made me want to go wider, but i couldn't

Time to get saving i think...

Oh, and i did a panoramic at the end of the day, but forgot exposure lock, so it'll look strange.

What a sad situation - you only have focal lengths to cover 95% of the time!!!

Not that sad really is it???

So you need a FF 10 mm and a crop 500mm and you're sorted? Until they aren't wide/long enough for a particular day ???

I had a similar experience today, went out to try some different photography ended up shooting cows, asda sign from across a field, water trickling down the street, pidgeons:shrug:, Parkgate (again) and almost nothing what id been dreaming of the night before:bang: and yep my equipment let me down, my AEB stopped working on one of cameras. I havent even looked at the shots yet as i just know it was one of my off/bad days i went out depressed so it will show in my shots

It's something that i'm coming across regular now, that i can't go wide enough, and i don't have the patience to do a 2 shot panoramic. 24mm on a crop just isn't wide enough, but 200mm is fine for me atm.

i may have to take the plunge, and get a 10-22mm.

O I C - on a crop sensor eh?

Then Yes - 24mm is almost a telephoto at times

I'm a 12-24mm man myself - so yes, a 10-20 (or thereabouts) would solve that problem nicely
