Dovedale from Thorpe Cloud

2 slightly different views up Dovedale taken from the top of Thorpe Cloud. Personally prefer the second because of the foreground interest added by the thistles, but the first gives a better view of the valley.

ND Grads used to control the sky.

Nice shots, both of them - prefer the lighting on the 1st but the composition of the second. Spent a lot of time around Dovedale before moving from Sheffield to North Wales.

Are the shots slightly HDR'd too ?

Nice, I think I prefer the 1st one as well, it has more of a lead in than the 2nd.

2 good shots - Prefer shot 1 for composition, as shot 2 seems a little cut into by the bank on the right hand side. Great use of ND grads. But I prefer the exposure of the background in 2 a little more
