dpi or ppi conversion?

I have been asked to provide an image at 300dpi, now I save all my images at 300ppi. I think that dpi is more to do with the printer, and think they probably meant that they want the image at 300ppi.

Am I correct? Ultimately I will clarify with them what they need, but would like to speak from a more informed viewpoint!

dpi dots per inch for print, ppi pixels per inch, I too would be interested in the answers to this

pixels per inch at 100%.

So, change the resolution to 300pixels per inch and note the dimensions. That will give you the largest size that the image should be used at.
