When I transfer images on to the PC I use the Canon software that came with the camera.
Is it easier to bypass this and transfer directly into PS elements? I'm pretty new to PS so advice on what you guys/gals do would help.
Cheers
Ian

Are you shooting RAW or jpeg?

If you are shooting RAW I would use the RAW processing part of DPP, if it is just for slightly tweaking jpegs I would go straight into Elements.

I shoot both. I thought Elements was better than DPP for tweaking raw files?
Cheers
Ian.

I use PS for tweaking my raw files. I find the canon software isnt as nice to use.

I use the canon software only to transfer the images and then PS for all processing including raw tuning.

I use PS Elements to Import/Catalogue/Process my stuff, it's easier just to let one application do the lot :)
