I've had a set of Kenko extension tubes for a while but not really got to grips with them yet. I struggle to get the focus right, in fact I don't think I've taken one photo that I'm really happy with yet.

However, I was in Cyprus recently and shared the lounging by the pool with a family of dragonflies. I had fun with the camera for a bit even if most of the shots were lousy. This one turned out OK - still not perfect though.

Lovely detail in this and nice subtle color to the background.
 
what are you concerned about - that looks like a success to me - i've tried a fair few macro shot's ad haven't got anywhere near as good as that

great detail, nice bokeh on the edge of the wings, and a beautifully clear background

your standards are too high :)

Maybe I am being a bit hard on myself, it's just I've taken sooo many that didn't work!
