[Swallow Brae]

I shot this guy last week at a local wildfowl pond. It's been a great find for me, as there's a wealth of different breeds there. Planning on another visit tomorrow to see if I can improve my skills a little (well, a lot, actually ).

I quite like this there is some great detail and colours in there and you've got a really nice reflection but I do think that a little off the top of frame to a more standard aspect ratio would improve this image

Hi Matt, thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm really glad you mentioned the aspect ratio. Is there a 'standard' (is there such a thing in photography? ) ratio that one should use? I've been using 4:3 up until now. I guess it depends on the composition of each individual image. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I've cropped the picture as advised, it does seem to draw the eye more towards the reflection.
