The Autoglym Drift Team did a demo at Brands last weekend.
For those that have never done the drifting thing before, the usual photographic rules applied, although they were moving a little bit slower than a car if it was racing 'properly' around the hairpin so shutter speeds needed to be a little bit lower than you'd normally go for this corner.
The Historics had dumped a load of oil so there was loads of errr...oil dry down which may have hampered the skidding efforts and tyre smoke, but hey, it was good fun. Only had 4 laps or so to catch these doing their thing so it was a bit of a giggle.
Here goes; 20D & Sigma 70-200f2.8 EX DG HSM
Started off on 1/200s so I could find my feet
Bit slower shutter
Bit closer
Tyre delamination...
