Dropped nifty fifty

On Sunday I dropped my Canon 50mm 1.8 lens onto a wooden floor. It came apart into 2 pieces but i managed to slide the front piece back in and with gentle pressure it popped back into place. I put it back on the camera and it seems to focus ok without any funny noises. I am a little worried now that if I continue to use it and it was not lined up exactly right (It looked like it could fit together in any one of three different orientations) it may cause some damage to the camera.

Does anyone know if this could be a problem?

One question, is it still sharp at F1.8 and able to focus to infinity

If yes to both they worry not.

Had it happen to mine, where occasionally the front would come out when focusing. Decided for the price it wasn't worth repairing it and got a new one!
