Hi, I am from Malaysia and will be continuing my study soon in Newcastle. I have an Aipor 38L drybox here and I'm thinking whether should I post it to Newcastle since it won't cost very much.

May I know whether the weather there is humid and required a drybox?

Do you guys normally have a drybox at home there?

Thanks!

hi it may be totally the wrong thing to do and im sure someone will say if it is
but as a newbie im a bit paranoid about causing fungus in my lenses not even sure if its moisture that causes it ?

but in all my lens bags i put a little sachet of silica gel in the bottom to suck moisture away from the lens

im lucky that my other half buys as many shoes as she does so ive got a limitless supply :)

Thank you all for the replies! Then I guess I'll just sell my drybox before going over to UK. =)

yep and use the funds to buy a good waterproof jacket

unless your the female of the species ?

then you can get a wholly inappropriate micro dress ready for the upcoming jordie winter :D

As others have mentioned there is absolutely no need to dry box here. I'm about 15 miles north of Newcastle and it is very rare for us to have any problems with humidity, what we would call a humid day would probably be nothing to you.
Silica gel in your camera bag is all you need plus waterproofs for all year & thermals for the winter.
