Hello, not new to photograpy, but only used cameras for fun. Could some of you good people dish out some advice.
I have an oldish Canon rebel (6.3 mp) and an 80-200mm lens. Was handed down to me. Now the lens seems its for far away shots and not for normal indoor type photograpy. Am I correct there? Anyway I'm finding it almost useless for the basic photograpy I'm doing.
I would like a new camera or lens. I am limited on budget - £100 (students !)
I have looked at a simple Fuji S2980 which seems slightly better than the compacts I have used. But I would like to know if I should just get the appropriate lens for the Canon which is usually a 18-55mm. I have used a friends camera with this basic lens and it seems perfect for what I use a camera for. I see these are around £100.
Could you please advise which would be my best value for money and overall which would be the best setup. Just bear in mind I'm not printing, just viewing on the PC.
So would the 6.3 mp Canon with the two lenses be a better option than say a Fuji S2980? Just basic photograpy.
Thank you!

I would stick with the DSLR as IQ and functionality is better and just pick up an 18-55 used for around £40.
