I've noticed a lot recently that when turning my D610 on and off when it's cold I can hear a chirping kind of noise in the camera. It only lasts about half a second but just wondering what it could be.

Not sure on that, but regarding cold weather, I have those moisture sachets in my camera bags all the time to try and keep moisture out of my gear .. .. :-)

I've never noticed anything like that!

Perhaps the budgie in you're bag is cold?

Sounds like the sensor cleaner. Not sure why you'd notice it more when cold though.

Bingo, that's what it is. I can't remember turning it on though!
