Found this iphone app, could come in handy if you want to fire your shutter, changes settings etc without even tuoching your camera..

i havent used it myself yet, so if anyone has, i would liek to hear reviews.

I keep meaning to look into it, but I think you need to have your camera connected to a laptop anyway, but it is still cool!
 
I guess it is cool as it looks to give you tethered shooting for under $20 instead of buying some other remote camera software. not sure about some of his reasons for needing it
Sometimes you just can't be behind the camera. If you've placed a camera in a church balcony or behind a basketball backboard you need to be able to fire your camera remotely. Today you have to use expensive radio transmitters that can only fire the camera. With DSLR Camera Remote you can fire, control and review your shots with the iPhone or iPod Touch and the laptop you already own.

If it supported Nikon I would probably take a look
