Duck

I felt really sorry for this duck as the surface of the loch was frozen and it had only a small area to swim.

Lucky for me though as it had to stay put while I sorted out the camera settings.

This is an interesting near-reversal of the "take off" post by fracster.

Your duck is nearly blown out (over-exposed) because of the "dark" water surrounding it.

What metering mode did you use?

I used guesswork.

I've only just started using the camera on manual and I'm still getting to grips with it.
