These are really nice shots. Some excellent detail.

Numbers 2 & 4 are my favourites :)

Possibly a smidge too much saturation in the drakes for my taste, but the ducks are superb! 3 and 6 are my favourites for composition

very good pice there young fella! (y)

Great shots you have there.
I never even think to shot ducks as they are so many of them, but I think I will think again now.

Good set there Les. (y)
I deffinatley need more practice when they're flying.

that last one for me, love the colour of the water as background. (y)

Great shots, but the colours also look too saturated for me (calibrated monitor). They seem to be at the level where the amount of colour draws the eye, rather than being a part of the overall image. Dial that back a bit and they would be great (for my taste), but each to their own preferences! If they work for you, that's what matters.

Nice shots

Yes, I think you are right, re-looking at them-particularly the orange feet look a touch vivid

Not sure which I should be more pleased about 'The very good pics' or the 'young fella' ;) :)

:clap:Very nice mate, some do seem a tad too dark though..

It's always a bit of a compromise (I think), I used spot metering to try and meter for the duck, but to try and stop the BG from bleaching out, I dialled in a 3/4 stop underexposure, hoping to drag the midtones/shadow detail back in PS, but I agree, particularly around the eyes (which I had to dodge back a bit) and the underside of the female ducks is a bit dark

Nice shots

I agree (for the oranges anyway :) )

If I could take shots like that I'd be a happy chappie - well done !!!!

I've revisited this thread about 15 times because they are just cracking shots.
Each time I look im still in awe.

Thanks Trev, now that's a real complement :)

Good shots indeed. Never have I seen such Orange feet though :)

I agree (about the orange feet), they are a bit vivid aren't they, I think I need to tone them down a touch.

great shots Les, as always top knotch
