I am getting very frustrated with not doing any photography at the moment. SO I thought I would get my lightbox thingy out, and do some product shots....you know...wedding ring, obscure objects etc....!

I am going to use the opportunity to use my flash. Trouble is...I haven't got a clue how to use it! The instructions that came with it are useless.

I have the Jessops gun...can't remember the model number.
Can anyone help me please!!

Sorry for the dumb question!

You have obviously looked for a model number so the next best thing is take a photo of the front and back of the flash gun and post them so we can make a stab at helping you :D

its going to behard to light the items properly if you can take the flash off the camera with either a flash cord or wireless triggers.

If theabove is not possible, then for static objects i would suggest table lamps and some sort of diffusion, tripod and timer release as you will have long shutter speeds.

Sorry I prob should have given more info!

I have the Jessops 360AFD flashgun.
Apart from finding out what the numbers on the rear of it mean, and how to adjust the power of the output of the flash, I also was under the impression that it could be triggered to work once it senses that another flash has gone off. I think that was my impression of what the E-TTL thingy is?!
I am probably totally misunderstanding all this...!

Why use a flash use a couple of lamps instead, you can even buy some very cheap from places like ikea
