I took this pic in the abbey today. Which do you prefer colour or b/w and why?

Thats quite difficult but I think i prefer the black and white as its a bit more dramatic! Nice idea with the open door :)
 
I like the light in the colour as gives the wood more character but the un focused stained window is very distracting but not as much in the B&W
 
I had a little play, i used some dodge and burn to try and bring out the ancient textures of the walls and floors, I hope you don't mind...

I love this shot, both composure and subject.

I can see why people would choose to give it the blue hue, can make it more appealing but I still refer the b/w. To the dodging and burning i just to obvious. Plus the original picture doesn't require it, maybe my b/w conversion was to dark in that case
 
No tripod with me so handheld at f1.4 1/90 iso 200 so shallow depth of field meaning the stained glasss is slightly out of focus
 
The colour image for me. it brings out the texture of the stonework so much more.
