No
Not sure if it is or not. They sure seemed to like all the animal poo ;)

As you can imagine in strong light these were a b&^ch to expose.

excellent - particularly the first with the rain / dew drop!! Was that with the 17-40? I was amazed at how close they focus when i had a quick try with Kevs the other weekend.

Cheers mate :)

It was the 70-200 with a 12mm extender which I find to be an exellent combination but of coarse with the extra length and at macro distance you have to watch for the shakes. Especially when you are doing handheld like these were.

Fantastic & gruesome at the same time (y)
Paul ;)

I used to use the 70-200 with spacers for macro and as you have shown it works well. Was it really crawling along the tops of the grass or did you perch it there for the shot? :)

Nicely done anyway :)

aye, it's a dung beetle of some kind, ugly brutes. Good shots though :)

And we wonder where SCI-FI writers get their inspiration...

Good shots

Thanks guys :)

RobertP: No they actually were struggling across the tops of the grass like this. Falling in occasionally then climbing back out on there quest for c$&p. Looked like hard work! ;)
