Duplex printing a pdf manual.

Don't you just hate them:annoyed:, I like to sit down in comfort and browse through the pages, or do some of you prefer them ?......some of you of course never need them

As far as printing the pages out in the right sequence to print both sides me and my missus have given up at the moment, there must be a way to do it duplex printing but we have not got it right so far

So far we have managed to get the pages in the right order but the reverse is upside down and if we turn the page round the are the right way up but the wrong order :bonk:

Trying to get 4 pages out of an A4 sheet.

I have a Canon MP600 printer.

I do see there is now a section for printing but assume that is more to do with printing images so rightly or wrongly I have decided to place it in this section.

Duplex printing is handled by your print driver not acrobat. Duplex printing has only two options, left-right book style, or top-bottom calendar style, not much use if your printer doesn't have a duplex option though.

You need to find out which way your paper goes in

You then need to set the duplex to long edge or short edge, this is the way you turn the pages, long edge flips on the longer side and is the most common side.

Another option is you can also generally print only the odd pages,then put the paper back in the other way round and print just the even.

Thanks, the printer does have duplex option, will pass this on to my better half as she is more familiar with the printer as she uses it more than I do

As do I. But I can't stand the hassle associated with ancient crafts like 'printing' and 'books'. So I have all my manuals in PDF format; stored on all my devices that can display PDF, as well as in the Cloud. When I want to browse a manual in comfort I just grab the iPad, select the manual (out of around 20) and start reading.

I put mine on my kindle along with several other photography books and any information i want to take with me in text format, very useful.
