Dust Delete Data

Wow.. my 2nd question for today! lol.

OK.. say I have a bit of dust on my sensor. I use the dust delete data thingy on my camera (the one where you have to take a pic of something white and solid). Now if I keep getting dust, and use the dust delete data overtime, will this affect the image quality? I would have thought so, as it's done electronically through the camera's computer.

And if I use the dust delete data, then later on clean it manually with a blower or whatever, do I need to reset the dust delete data to let the camera know not to correct that bit of dust in the future?

Hope I make sense!!

The dust delete data that is gathered by the 450d and inserted into the image, is not applied in camera. It's applied by DPP (canon software) after download. I tried it a couple of times and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed. I've found the spot healing tool in Aperture to be more effective and a lot quicker when it's a problem. You don't need to reset the dust delete data after a clean because of how it's processed, but you might as well.
