Hi, I got my paws on a 17-55 2.8 recently (Thanks Craigyboy) there is some noticeable dust on the inside of the front lens. As it dosent appear to affect picture quality, I'm inclined to leave it but I assume it would have to go for a professional service if I wanted it cleaned?

You would be surprised just how much rubbish you need to get inside to see anything at all on the images. Most lenses draw in a bit of dust, some draw in a huge amount and have nicknames accordingly LOL. :)

If it doesn't appear on the images then leave well alone (y)

Would agree with the above, but if it is bothering you, have a word with your local camera repair center and see how much they would charge for a clean (y)

Lenses always attract dust over a period of time with zooms particularly being more prone to dust than prime lenses. I personally wouldn't worry too much about it.
