Dusty Bokeh?

I am well used to seeing sensor dust on my images now and then, to varying degrees, but have come across something I haven't seen before.

Last night while being, ahem, creative with my D700 and 105mm VR, I noticed I am getting what looks like dust, but in the out of focus areas/bokeh instead.

This is also when taken at any large apertures. The photo below is at f4 for example, but it was doing it at f2.8 onwards as well.

Has anyone come across this before? Both the lens and sensor are relatively clean, I couldn't recreate the "dust" with any of my other lenses at any aperture.

Has anybody else ever had an issue a like this?

Thanks

Here's a 100% crop.

That to me looks like moisture that has dried, possibly on the sensor or even the lens itself, though if it's on the lens it shouldnt really be visible?

Has the sensor ever had a wet clean?
