Just after a bit of advice please

Should I be able to see dust on the sensor or will it only show up in pics? as I've a few marks on my pics but cant see anything on the sensor

Sorry for the daft question, I was getting myself a bit worked up
I've just watched a vid on youtube that seems to show you see the dust on your pics and you can use a blower to try and remove

Use a bulb blower,but not,not ever,ever ever a can of compressed air,as it can freeze and crack sensor or spit out bits and mark the sensor.
