Can anybody help please - I'm running outlook in microsoft enterprise 2007 - and I am able to receive e-mails but can't send them

My e-mail addy ends with ntlworld.com and virgin media inform me set up is OK and could be a problem with enterprise 2007 which I have deleted and reinstalled - same problem!

Incoming server is set to:- pop.ntlworld
Outgoing server set to:- smtp.ntlworld.com

I'm running Win 7 and hopefully there are some virgin media customers amonst you, who can confirm settings etc.
Hope this is enough info and an "idiots guide" would be appreciated

thanks in advance

Hi Neil

Thanks for reply

This is message:-

Task 'Home - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC80) : 'None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.'

incoming server should be pop3.ntlworld.com

you've missed out the '3'

EDIT:

authentication should be unticked, no authentication required
