The first is really interesting. Is the background just out of focus or did you put something behind it?

I like how sharp everything is in the second.
 
No the 1st one is put of focus as I used a dedicated Macro lens ( sigma 105mm f2.8) that gives a very shallow dof and what was behind it was a hedge :LOL:

2nd one shot with a 100-300mm f4 telephoto lens

Like both, but love the first, it really is outstanding. I should of been outside at 7am this morning by the looks of things. The best I could find when I got out had about 10 drops left on it so not quite the same. Well done Les.
 
Both excellent, if I had to choose I'd pick 1.
 
Thanks all for your comments and 7am seemed like a good idea at the time- plenty of spiders webs and plenty of dew, failing that take a small spray full of water and improvise

although that said the 1st image is as seen, no enhancement req
