Beginner early morning reflections

I went out yesterday morning and took a few shots I was trying to get the hang of reflections in the water.

I know I need to set a longer exposure time as the flash fired a few times ruining the image and some of the rest are too dark.

Any other helpful tips would really be appreciated..

Since posting these I've also worked out how to use the profile lens correction tool

Also shots were taken using a Canon 350D with an EF-S 18-55mm

The 350D doesn't produce the greatest JPG's but I've run one of them through Lightroom, bringing down the highlights and recovering the shadows. I've had to put some noise reduction in, and I've straightened it up a bit. Boosted the reds & oranges too.

About 2 mins work (this is only a quick edit).

I would probably have framed it a little different, too much sky and not enough water for my taste.

With shots like this it is trial and error really, but once you get something close you learn where to start (or at least I did). Turn that flash off (my cameras on't have pop up flash so I don't have the problem).
