Early Morning Seaweed

Evening All,

Sunday was the first time this year I'd managed to get up and out for dawn. Myself and two friends travelled down to the coast in the hope of an interesting sky but that wasn't to be. Having an interest in macro I spotted some seaweed on the beach and did my best to net something from our trip; the two images below are the best of the bunch.

Like the lines in the sand on the first. Second does not do anything for me - sorry.

One is nice but could do with more Dof and teh second looks like nothing on the seweed is in focus so is not working for me.

Did you use a tripod?
I cannot see any exif so cannot offer anthing further.

With regards to the second image, it was shot hand held in a rock pool. I couldn't get comfortable when taking the photo so that might explain it's softness. I'll have to look into the exif data as I've just started using Lightroom along Photoshop and assumed that it would be embedded in the jpeg so I'm not sure why it's missing.
