Eastbourne Airshow - advice?

Hello. I think this the right forums for airshows?

Can anyone give advice on Eastbourne next week please? In particular, the best place to shoot from.

I might go for two days - once from the prom, and once up Beacy Head. Reasonable idea?

Also, is it possible to see flight times? I see punters are encouraged to buy the official programme, but it's sold out.

Any tips appreciated. Thanks,

I would suggest approaching a visitor who has a programme and ask if you could take a snapshot of the flight program on your phone

I've not been to the Eastbourne show, but regularly attend the one in Clacton. Flight times for this are generally kept secret with the exception of the red arrows & BBMF. Something that annoys me somewhat, but as I'm likely to be there all day anyway it's not that significant.

Programmes have always been available along the seafront on the days (va numerous mobile sellers). Even when I have brought the programmes it's not unusual for the times (and even appearances) to change due to weather etc.

Just double-checked and it seems there's a daily updated flying times released each morning.

I went there a few years ago and found a spot up on Beachy Head (I grew up in Eastbourne, so knew the area) - A number of the aircraft flew fairly low over the cliffs, so had a good view of them.
I had a lot more space than I would have had down on the seafront.

No, I just parked where I could and wandered about until I found somewhere that looked OK - decent visibility and not too crowded.

The last time I went, we moved from Beachy Head to the esplanade for a better view. The planes fly low along the promenade and the parachutists land down there too.

It was over twenty years ago that I went though, so don't take my advice over someone that's been recently.
