What have you guys used?

There's so many to choose from, and there must be some better than others so I thought I'd ask for opinions.

What can't they do? What's the bad points?
 
I've got the old Cactus V2s which work fine on my 580EX, but looking to get a new set myself as I want more flashes and so on! So am interested in hearing peoples experiences too!

Don't think I can scrounge enough cash for pocket wizards, unless I cancel my planned trips later in the year!
 
cactus V4 - works a treat
 
Anyone got a link to these Cactus bad-boys? I can't find them on eBay?
 
What about Alienbee ones - have you looked at them?

Cactus V4 here. I have the V2s, which are okay, but look a bit gash and require a seperate foot adaptor to fit them to a tripod/lightstand. The V4 looks more polished and I like the smaller unit to connect the flashgun to, especially with the tripod screw fitting - much improved and still a good price.
 
I went with Phottix PT-04 II triggers. Basically newer versions of Cactus triggers. They've been really reliable for the price. I bought more after trying them. I've got 4 now.
 
Thanks, is there anywhere in the UK that sells them? How much is the shipping on Gadget Infinity? Without signing up I can't check.
 
It comes to £30 delivered, is that the normal price? Worth it? A few reviews say they only fire 50% of the time?
 
mine fire almost all the time, if the batteries are low or your far away that falls off real fast, the range on these is a bit pants in honesty but they get the job done cheaply

never had a misfire yet - shot all day, too
very pleased! (cactus mk 4)

just ordered myself a set of the V4's. jsut under 46 dollars, or 31quid. these should do the job for me perfectly.
