Hi All,

I have not taken many photos in a while so I thought it was time to get busy..

Its been cold and wet out so I looked around the house for some inspiration. I had a few ideas of what I wanted to try, some worked better than others.

What do you all think of these pics? Any feedback to offer?

This is my kind of photography, I think these great. Sometimes it's the simple things that work best.

i was about to say.." why am i looking at a pair of roller boo.....oohh".. penny dropped when i saw the laces. i like them, good in mono. the cymbal is just..well.. "I want to believe"?
 
Thanks. I think the skates work much better in mono too, not sure what it is with the colour version but I'm not all that keen.

What do you mean about the cymbal pic?

The cymbal is a low noise zildjian L80 crash 16". I like the shape and the hole patterns so I tried to highlight them with flash above and below with coloured gels. I might revist this at some point and not cropping the right hand side of the cymbal and see what that looks like.

i take it you're not an X-Files fan then? :/ it just looks very UFO and funky (y)

Yes it does look like a glowing UFO.
