First attempt and overall quite pleased. Wish I'd shot for longer but I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. Was surprised how much showed up given the amount of light pollution. No processing apart from cropping. Not great compared to most but I quite like it and will definitely have a go again.

That's actually quite good considering the light pollution!
Is that Oroin that's in the middle of the frame?
Is this taken from the Leith area?

Thank you. It was Orion and that really was the only thing I could see with the naked eye, so surprised that so much showed up. It was taken from near Crewe Toll, from my balcony so had to crop off the bottom as there is apartment blocks in front of me.

It was 200+ shots of 30 seconds at f5.6 ISO 200. Taken with my 18-55 kit lens. Didn't do anything to the White balance - not sure if that makes a difference? Will do some more experimenting soon.
