Hey guys just a quick one.

My friend and I, are looking to join forces and become partners in business... however, my PC is the one I use for editing and entertainment at home.. so im just after ideas and maybe even prices for a decent laptop to edit on, I think something as the same as my PC would be best, but what do you guys suggest?

Then the short answer would be:
Only use a laptop for editing if you absolutely need the portability. You get much more bang for your buck with a desktop, most laptop screens are terrible, you have to be really careful to get a decent enough screen on a laptop, whereas just buying a screen is quite straightforward.

Although that still depends what 'business' you're getting into. I'm assuming you're going to care more about the quality of your editing than portability, that might not be the case.
 
As above laptop screens aren't ideal for editing for two main reasons, screen size and viewing angles. Quality can be very good these days (although clearly not in the same league as 'pro' screens with super wide colour space etc) but size makes a difference. When I first started all I had was a MacBook Pro 15", and whilst perfectly adequate since getting a 27" monitor have realised how much a large screen really helps.

Viewing angle on laptops makes a huge difference to the appearance of the image, and it is nigh on impossible to ensure you're at the same viewing angle every time you use a laptop, therefore if you are really intent on getting a laptop make sure it has an IPS screen so that viewing angle is far less critical (I would always recommend IPS for a desktop monitor too).

Finally you should always make sure your screen is calibrated, and this is doubly important when swapping between different monitors. It's still very difficult to calibrate two different monitors to look exactly the same, but you need to get them as close as possible.
 
Retina MacBook if u want to edit on the go as mentioned cant beat a good calibrated display and a beefy pc
 
on the windows side look at the new dell xps15 which has a 4k ips screen option that displays 100% of adobe RGB
