Editing software

Hi folks, I currently have Photoshop 7.0 and also have a copy of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Classroom in a book to go with it. I have only used this programme very fleetingly as I am only just getting into photography. My question to you more experienced TP'ers, should I stay with this (It hasn't really cost me anything)and get used to using it o,r would I be better off all round to treat myself to Elements 8.0. I can't really afford to go to any of the CSx versions. Thank you

I'd stick with PSE7 if I were you PSE8 is great but doesn't really offer that much more to warrant changing, plus if you rarely use 7 why waste money not buying 8? Get used to PSE7 imo
