Hi Guys,

I spent the rainy bank holiday trying to make a start on learning a bit about photoshop CS5. This is a picture I took last year at an EDL march in Luton.

Let me know what you think or what I can do to improve it.

I'd like a little more context, perhaps with more of the police helmets in the shot. For me it is a bit close and without your description of what it was about it is hard to see the story that the image is telling.

I think the edit is slightly overcooked - about halfway between your edit and the original would get a good balance, the effect is exacerbated to the point where the hair on the back of the guy in the background's head has a bizarre texture to it.

I agree with the context thing - I think a slightly wider shot, but keeping the focus thin so the police helmets are obvious but not in focus, would be just right for this sort of shot.
