Hi all.
I seem to have been bitten by the 'photography bug'.
I want to learn more, and i probably have a very basic, and novice question, but thought i would post it anyway, so that i can understand more.
Obviously, it seems anyway (i could be wrong
) that DSLRs are excellent and are what you need to produce excellent pictures, so how exactly does it work.
I had a quick look out of interest and curiosity, at some of the Canon and Nikon cameras, and it seems that you get a lot of 'body only' kits, so does this mean that you cannot take a photo like that, and you need an additional lens?
I guess there are certain lenses which you want for certain things, or is there a lens, for a Canon, for example, which just about covers everything that you could possibly ever need to do with a camera?
Also, i am guessing again here, but do the higher spec DSLRs and lenses require the user to have a very 'in depth' knowledge of cameras, settings, etc... i.e. they are not novice friendly? Is it kind of 'expected' that you have 'x' level of knowledge, so the pre-set settings, decline with the higher end spec cameras?
The only reason i ask these, is because i am going to try and learn as much as possible with my camera i have just bought (FZ38), and increase my knowledge along the way, but also have an eye on what i want to buy next, as i have a feeling, that my interest in photography will grow and grow, and i imagine my next purchase, will be quite a good DSLR, so i want to learn now, so i can research my needs for the future.
Thanks again.
