EF 90-300 Zoom Lens

As a replacement for my 55-200mm lens, what do people think of this one?

The reach isn't quite as long as i'd like!

Personally i wouldn't touch it, as have had to use a couple in the past and found them a touch lacking in sharpness.

Okiely dokely, i guessed there was a reason it was cheap!

I used to have one. Very difficult to get a sharp shot. Very soft at either end and below F8. Save your pennies for a 55-250 IS.

Or a 70-300 IS to give you the further reach your after

Gets some good reviews and the photo mag I get in their last test rated it above a lot of other lenses (even more expensive ones)
