EF Lens 3rd party equivalent

Hey guys, can you just confirm the different lens mount designations for Tamron and Sigma lenses. Am I right in thinking that Tamron DI lenses are the same as EF and DI II lenses are EF-S, and Sigma DG are the same as EF and DC are the same as EF-S. I'm okay with Canon cause I'm used to them.
Having just got a 5D2 to compliment my 7D I dont want to buy lenses that are just for the 7D and wont fit both, but my memory is awful and the letters are very similar.

CF, EF and EF-S are Canon's.

Just try not to get confused with Sigma's abbreviations for the technology that they use. OS is optical stabilisation (I think) and so on and so forth..

Sigma abbreviations.

Maybe if this confuses you, you might be better asking questions rather than giving answers.

The reason I confused myself was because i thought you were on about sigmas technological acronymsn, not their mounting types. I admit failure :bang:
