Effects of x-ray scanning on camera bodies

Quick one - what are the effects of x-ray scanning on camera bodies and CF cards?

I only ask as we have just moved offices and due to the government nature of my job we have x-ray scanners in the building. Every time we enter our bags get scanned.

Now working in London, I take my camera absolutely everywhere. If daily x-ray scanning is likely to be harmful then I'd rather leave the thing at home

Should be no problem at all - thats one of the things about digital, you dont need to worry about the film in the camera getting zapped.

Both camera and memory should be unaffected

aye, it's been proven in various tests that x rays don't affect your gear.

Clumsy security staff might be a concern though
