Eighties photography books

While putting the holiday luggage away in the attic I stumbled across a box full of books, Dixons World of Photography from the mid 80's. Had a quick look through and they look quite useful especially as I am just starting out.

There are 16 of them, from a quick google search it looks like I am missing 4.

The first page I opened was of a fair ground ride taken with a long exposure, which is what my first post was of, obviously a favourite for many years!

I was looking at some of these in a second hand bookshop yesterday - are they worthwhile reading?

I have only had a quick flick though at the moment. I will have a better look later this evening and let you know what they are like.

The title of that book did make me laugh, as did some of the photos in it!

I picked up the 'Masterclass' one today from the second hand bookshop. Its discussions on composition and lighting were really helpful.

Other than specifics related to film, the principles will remain sound. The photographic styles will look dated though, and some of the advances in lenses, e.g. zooms and ultrawide angles will probably not be covered.
