Elephant close ups

This was at Twycross zoo in Warwickshire this week.I wanted to take closeups anyway but had little choice as there were wire barriers in the way.Not sure if they may be better in B+W though.

Nice idea. Middle one catches my eye most but I don't know why

Light looks very harsh and you have still managed to get good detail in the shadows.

I agree....there's something about number 2 that hits the spot bang on....maybe it's because both eyes are visible, and that slightly inquisitive tilt to the head?

Anyway, good shots.

Thanks for comments.I often tamper with my images too much afterwards and they dont end up looking as natural as I want.I am pleased with these in original form though as the greater detail shows often the wrinkles and skin far better.
