Hi guys I'm new to TP.
I'm wanting to get into a long exposures and don't really wanna break the bank with really expensive filters just yet. Has anyone had any experience with these filter? Thanks.

If you want to do it without breaking the bank, start with a 10 stop screw in filter for your most likely used lens (or buy a large one and some step rings). On the whole you get what you pay for in terms of quality (lack of colour cast), but lots of people rave about the Xsource filters for a cheap look see https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_s...ter+xsource&rh=i:aps,k:10+stop+filter+xsource

I've not used these, but have used SRB screw in (nasty magenta cast), Hoya ProND screw in (not bad) and currently use Hitech Firecrest screw in (not cheap, but excellent quality)

Screw in has some advantages over slot in for long exposures as there will be no potential light leaks.

Then when you want to explore more you can invest in a 'proper' system :)

Thanks for the advice I'll have a look and thanks for the link.
